Agenda1.- Infrastructure, Major developments in Infrastructure investment needs to be made. Like the EU, the UEG should provide funding to its member states to help develop this, for example. The Ocian Federation Is currently in the process of approving the design for; and eventually building the longest Bridge in Giess. We estimate the cost of this is to be 35Billion Tolars, in the EU the union pays for a small amount of it and I think the UEG should pay a small amount of it. Also, when we claim our new colony near Port William which will extend to the homelands of Trinovantium the Ocian government would be interested in the construction of a joint UEG highway that stretches through the borders with no check points. This could also include a high speed rail link etc. 2. - Currency, What do we want to do? Do we want one single currency, if not do we want to lock the rates of our current currency? 3. Economy, trade agreements, UEG trading and investing. We have some good ideas which include building Grunder Industries factories in Adraisia and supporting the economy there. Or the Development of Adraisian Airlines which could, in the future connect the whole Union with flights. 4. Military, the true definition on the status of our militaries and how they are connected to the UEG needs to be defined possibly in a treaty we can all sign at the end of the conference. Joint Strike Fighter? Sounds like a good idea, if all of us come together and develop military equipment together just like BAE systems it could be important to economic prosperity.

1) yes they do, a big bridge sounds good and i'd like to see a bit highway through the colonies on the Trinovantic peninsula 2) i think a joint currency would be hugely unsucessful, Adraisia has pretty much rejected it and i'm sure Trinovantium would too 3) Intermicronational economics is still in its infancy and is hard to calculate but this is something i'm interested in 4) The military is united, in a fragmented state.

Ocia's position is the following.
Each state funds a UEG Central Bank responsible for contributing funds for member states for development like the Ocia Bridge.
Seperate Currency is fine then.
Military is separate, the Ocian Federation wants a military alliance but is not keen on having it combined for a few obvious reasons.
1: WHo would the commander and chief be?
2: Each member state has different national defense doctrines
3: In the past military decisions had been made without consulting other member states and the federation is not willing to allow this.
4: Its simple and alliance similar to NATO with a treaty, and also a Rapid Reaction force of joint soldier protecting UEG Borders
5: We want to see a Formal Border Agreement being signed, not it merely being mentioned.

1: WHo would the commander and chief be?
Whoever the body responsible for appointing military commanders is in each nation. Each nation keeps its own Commanders, but they are subject to (loose) co-ordination in war from the All-Union Military Committee.
2: Each member state has different national defense doctrines
They can keep them. The UEG will not impinge on them, except in times of war, when the Military Commission might ask for some forces to be redirected elsewhere. Of course, that decision would have been reached through common consensus from all Powers.
3: In the past military decisions had been made without consulting other member states and the federation is not willing to allow this.
You know what we've agreed on this - all nations can conduct their own military operations, but if it is not UEG-Sanctioned they cannot expect military aid from the UEG once the aforementioned operation has begun.
4: Its simple and alliance similar to NATO with a treaty, and also a Rapid Reaction force of joint soldier protecting UEG Borders
I can't quite see what you're saying here. If you want a Rapid Reaction force in all nations, we'll need permission from the Guildhouse. But I don't see why we should have this if the Military Commission provides us all with adequate funds to defend ourselves. A Rapid Reaction Force sounds good and looks good on paper, Mr. President, but will it work, or is it just a cheap electioneering policy?
5: We want to see a Formal Border Agreement being signed, not it merely being mentioned.
If the GSO puts a nation on the map, it gains de facto recognition from all other nations on the map. While I appreciate the position your Government is in with the Treithaks, there simply is no real need for us to recognise each others borders if we're all part of a common Union and recognise each other as allies.
And individual treaties giving recognition to Powers' claims can be drafted in the All-Union Commission of Foreign Affairs and signed by all Associated Powers.

Good points but, by Border agreement I meant one that is similiar to the EU Schengen open-borders agreement. Is that fine?

What are the difficulties of instructing our respective border control units to allow anyone holding an Associated Power's Passport through and over the Border?

You just reminded me, we should all have the same passports! Thats a great idea, its should be Glue and Hold and Say the Union of Eastern Giess and underneath it say the Ocian Federation or whichever memberstate it has. I have seen Adraisia's passports, could you work on a simple design, and create 3 types Ocian, Adraisian and Trinovantium?

A good proposal
Blue Background Gold writting
Union of Eastern Giess (at top)
3 stars (a symbol of the 3 member states)
and in a smaller font at the bottem it should state which member state i.e
Union of Eastern Giess
Ocia
Just like the Eu Passports.

I personally am against this. Our passport is part of our heritage (of sorts) in that each respective Government has had its own design. I belive the Guildhouse would oppose this, but they might agree to having "Union of Eastern Giess" placed at the bottom.

I think the Union should adapt this, Ocia would probably support this, you should propose this to your Parliament.

And Mr. Tomsett was heard to mutter the word "Guildhouse". We will, if a concrete proposal is shown by the Ocian Government.
