On the subject of economics, I would suggest to the member nations of the UEG to test a single currency for 6 months, this could be used in an economic branch of the UEG, with the central UEG Bank being somewhere in the UEG. That central bank could have 3 Directors (or the Finance Ministers from each nation) and once each year, a nation within the UEG could be elected to the Presidency of the Bank, within they're representative having the casting vote on bank desicsions, as well as the power of day to day running.
The UEG Bank could be the only issuing Bank in the UEG, and the UEG bank would be based on a website with a forum for all of the companies in the UEG, in short, we could centralise the entire economies of the nations in the UEG on one website with full controls on trading, a stock market (this could be named the November City Stock Exchange and "based" in Ocia) and a range of many other financial services, makig the site just a massive marketplace and centre of economics throughout the micronational world. This site could also be a great place for budget making and taxation on the part of the member nations.
I realise that the proposed site would be a massive effort in building and maintaining, but I would be willing to do a fair share (as a citizen of Adrasia) and I think I could easily do the site. The worries you put forward about heritage and the damaging of culture can be easily answered in that the extra citizens and activity this would bring to the entire population of the UEG would completely counter any loss of a national currency and "way of life".
Also on the point of losing any soveriegnty, the UEG could merely write up a treaty saying that member nations could leave (or choose not to be part of) the UEG Central Currency and Economic "Association" while still staying in the UEG.

May I note that this is an exceptional proposal and similar to the One the ocean government proposed not so long ago. Ocia has indeed been open on this matter but I can question Adraisia and Trinovantium’s openness as both heads of state shot this idea down, but I would like very much to see it through if it is at all possible to gain support from both nations legislative bodies. A united currency means a stronger union, with more economic power that has more money a very good idea.
Website is a great idea, one that I have also been trying to work on, I would greatly appreciate you efforts on doing this and I would definitely help you, but Trinovantium and Adraisia are opposed to having a single forum because they prefer it be hosted at each nation and alternate ever so often. I see pros and cons to both and am open to both.
I appreciate your input and those ideas are definitely supported by the government of the Ocian Federation but I can not speak for the two other member states.

The Guildhouse instructed me to oppose any single unified currency or economic changes, I am bound to follow those rules.

You should at least propose this to the guildhouse set out the pros and cons and show them this new proposal I can bet you they will at least consider it.

If Curtis can draft some legislation for his idea, then the House will consider it, I am sure.

I am sure he will, he has a good point we should just try it for 6 months and then just go back to our old currencies if we don't like it.

But setting up a bank is a big project, especially one as large as this.

He seems willing to do it so I support it, although we'd be willing to help.

I already have bank php codes and a website (the old micronational economic association site, i'll just change the logo etc.) all I have to do is put it together, and stick it up onto the internet with a forum inside. The size of the bank won't make much difference, although the member nations will have to make sure that they encourage economic activity, they'res no point in starting this and it turning into a dead site.

On the matter of legislation, wouldn't a treaty have to be set out defining the Economic Association and what will be going inside it (eg.the association government), and the fact that it is part of the UEG and that the nations will have to accept single currency etc etc etc. I propose that to the UEg as a would (it'll be a long) and if all parties agree, each nation can take the treaty back to its parliarment/guildhouse and ratify it. That way any new nations to the UEG just sign both the UEG Treaty, and then the UEG Economic Treaty (and have it ratified of course) and then they are signed up for the whole package. Will, should I propose this in the Guildhouse before I start writing?

Yes, we will need to get everyone to ratify this treaty. With regards to the website would you like me to do some sort of write up for you to put on the website? Like on each state?
