A massive ramp leading down into the newly-excavated basement marks the beginning of Bluelight Towers, which at present currently consists of two mobile dispatch offices from which the Director and his staff work out of. The two towers will be the heart and greatest achievement, at least architecturally, of New Light City. Two 120-story towers of shimmering glass and steel will dominate the centerpiece of the city. They will be surrounded by Center Park, a 400 acre park for use by the city's population, and an effort on behalf of city planners to retain a "green" agenda while still moving ahead with industrialization of the region. The foundation itself, made to withstand even a nuclear attack, and thus doubling as a fallout shelter for the public should the dire need ever arise, also goes down a number of stories. Like newer skyscrapers, Bluelight Towers will be built with rubber impact absorbers under the I-beams and other amenities that will help should a terrorist strike ever occur. But these negative thoughts aside, once completed the towers will be a shimmering beacon of hope for the city. Specially-constructed window panes, made with a slight hue of blue, feature faceted prisms cut into the face. These in turn will reflect sunlight during the day, and make the entire towers shimmer and sparkle in the sun, giving them an almost magical look. Floodlights charged by solar batteries (and thus green) will shine on the towers at night, therefore giving them illumination around-the-clock.
Construction times vary by source, but with ample workforce and minimal delays, the towers are expected to be complete within two years.
