Mr. Prime Minister, Members of Government, Honoured Guests and Citizens of the Ocian Federation,
Today as we stand here on this magnificent feat of engineering, we look not only back on the months of hardship and toil in the construction of the new wonder of the world, to which many a Ocian braved not only the weather but battled with the adversity of such a huge project, on such a tight time scale. But, my fellow Ocians we look forward to what this bridge stands for, it stands for connecting Ocia with our Intermicronational Partners, it stands for Ocia opening itself up to trade and more open relations with the intermicronational community, but most of all it cements Ocia in the history books and in the minds of all Micronations and Micronationalists alike, that Ocia is a world leader in Engineering and Innovation, we are a world leader in bringing people together by linking land masses once separated by huge spans of water, but most of all it echoes to the whole world, that when Ocia is on the job, nothing, absolutely nothing is impossible!
To the many workers who toiled day and night on this wondrous project, you have the thanks of not only me, but the countless millions of people who will use this bridge over the coming years, because you through your hardship, have made millions of lives easier, you have opened up a new gateway into the lands once separated by sea, you have ensured countless billions to be made through trade and have given many jobs, all because of this bridge, your bridge, which you have made possible and will be remembered for as long as this bridge stands, a testament to Ocia’s mastering of engineering to a scale never dreamed of before.
In a few moments the ONS Freedom will pass beneath this bridge, in a symbolic gesture to remember all those who are not with us today to celebrate this joyous and landmark event, because these people gave the greatest sacrifice of all, they gave up their lives in the defence of the Ocian Federation, in the defence of Freedom, Justice and the rights which will all take for granted day in and day out, with these brave souls making the ultimate sacrifice, they made today possible and made Ocia what it is today, a Leader and a Superpower, so when ONS Freedom makes her pass under this bridge, we remember these brave people and we also look forward to the bright future made possible by their sacrifice and our determination to honour that sacrifice and build upon it.
My fellow Ocians, I wish to take this opportunity, to extend my thanks to all who made today possible, no matter how small you role was you played, you were a cog in this huge machine, without you it would not of worked and to each of you my sincerest thanks and gratitude!
There is little else I can say but to echo what the Right Honourable Dr. Kovac has said in his wonderful and moving speech. Ocia is proud of the achievements made here today and today is our day, today is a day for every Ocian to be proud of where they are from and to tell all our micronational friends, “Ocia has conquer what many though was unconquerable, we made possible what many thought to be impossible, we have climbed a mountain, which was thought to be insurmountable, Today Ocia has confirmed itself to be the greatest micronation of them all and let no one dare doubt of challenge that fact, for we have proved it here today!”
My Fellow Ocians, I will not take up anymore of your time and will let you enjoy the show and what is left of this wondrous day!
Today is Ocia’s Day, Your Day and our fallen Heroes!
For unity, For Freedom and For the Federation!
Thank you!
