Proposal for Education ReformFellow Ocians, With a new administration comes always change, which tends to be a difficult process. However, a change can be for the better, even if it is a difficult one. I is my hope that,with hard work, we can bring new life into this fine institution. It's with this in mind that I propose: 1. The establishment of 3 departments within the University, namely a Department of Arts, a Department of Natural Sciences and a Department of Human Sciences, where the relevant courses can be given, along with an Public Auditorium, where courses that do not easily conform to those arbitrary divisions can be taught, as well as any short lecture or artistic production or anything else that belongs in a University. 2. The appointment or election of Deans to manage each of the Departments, as well as a Rector to the general management of the University. 3. The allocation of funding with which to encourage more citizens to pursue a Professorship. 4. The formation of a Board of Education, whose job would include (but not be limited to): i. Propose Standards with which to evaluate whether or not to give courses official Accreditation;
ii. Encourage learned citizens to submit Course Proposals;
iii. Evaluate Course Proposals by the Standards and, if approved, provide the citizen who proposed it with the title of Professor and remuneration.
This Proposal for Education Reform is a first draft, comments and suggestions are more than welcome.

This proposal is exceptional. Before we get going with these new departments I for one think that we should have at least one course under our belt. I would be willing to sign up for one that you teach on what ever your specialty is. What we do is the professor presents the material and then assigns Questions (Usually thinking and inquiry since the information can be available and it wouldn’t make sense to have just questions) and if you pass you get a degree in Ocia which you can use to get Jobs here in ocia such as a Minister etc. I am offering an Architecture course since I do have a real world degree in it but so far no one signed up.
I am pleased with your new enthusiasm and I look forward in participating and supporting this new educational reform.

My specialty happens to be Physics. I do intend on giving courses on basic, and eventually not-so-basic physics, but first I think we should establish a set of Standards and just make sure everything is done more professionally. How are we set up on the matter of paying our professors?
