For anyone who cares/is interested.
The medals Josef Stalin is wearing are (starting from our right, going down):
-2 Orders of Imperial Hero or Gold Star (this was the only medal Stalin reportedly wore - he always appeared in public wearing only one, on his marshal's jacket) -3 Orders of Lenin -3 Orders of the Red Banner -1 "20 Years Since The Creation Of The Worker's And Peasants' Red Army" (Awarded to to Stalin because he was one of those who received an Order of the Red Banner in the Civil War) -Not sure what the next two are; I haven't seen it before. Where it is placed suggests it is an Order of some great Russian Hero, like the Order of Kuzutov or Suvurov. -At the bottom, Stalin wears two of the only 16 Orders of Victory, awarded after the Second World War to foreign and Soviet statesmen who served in the war effort. Stalin was one of only three citizens to receive the order twice. Eisenhower recieved this award, as did Brezhnev, although this was part of the excesses of his rule (Brezhnev had it revoked in 1989 - he was famous for awarding himself medals - he recieved the Order of Hero of the Soviet Union 5 times, even though the maximum it could be awarded was 4 times (Zhukov had it awarded 5 times as well, but he was actively involved with the defeat of the Nazis in WWII and can be attributed to winning the War for the USSR). The Order of Victory, if it came ont othe world market now, could be sold for enough money for the seller never to work again, despite its small size - 75mm. It is the rarest Order in the world.
I do not know what Stalin is wearing on his right. It is a foreign medal - not my speciality.

www.titoville.com/images/titov-zadnji-birthday.jpgone of my favorite pictures of Tito, it makes me hungry . He is wearing the order of the grand star of Yugoslavia. Although he got countless medals like the order of national hero (3 times) order of bravery of the SFRJ and the order of lennin to list a few, but in total he had over 99 medals awarded to him from other countries and about 15 yugoslav medals. They were all displayed during his funeral. www.youtube.com/watch?v=l8ps5BjQjjI

Wow. I guess you're a fan of Tito then? Tito was unfairly persecuted by Stalin. He had the bravery to walk his own path - something he should be saluted for.
