The Ministry of Justice notes that over the last couple of days, a number of Ocian Citizens have changed their names on the forum, without informing the Ministry of Justice of such a change.
Given that under current citizenship laws, the name you applied for citizenship in is the name you must official post under and is your legal name on the forum, to which your display name must reflect.
You may only change your display name under the following circumstances:
1. You have applied to the Ministry of Justice to change your name and such application has been granted
Or
2. You are changed your name under Common Law, to which you have notified the Ministry of Justice of this fact.
This is to prevent confusion on the forum as to who is who and to keep track of who is posting what on the forum. In addition, this also prevents fraud and impersonation of any citizen on the forum.
The Ministry of Justice has not received any application from the individuals who changed their names, but has approved these name changes on grounds of a implied application. This is a once of case and all future name changes MUST be approved by the Ministry of Justice or the person will be charged with breaking citizenship laws in the Ocian Federation and will be sentenced aptly.
You have been warned!
