Praetor Arrives in Slaventia to make speech
Above; the Praetor of Home's plane landing in Slaventia.
The Praetor of Home arrived in Slaventia for the final leg of his State Visit to Ocia and its federated territories today. Slaventia neighbours Lovely's Home Territory and has been the focal point of Ocian-Lovely relations in recent months. Once there, the son of the famous Lord Montague met with local dignatories and officials to congratulate them on their continued advancement. Later on he visited one of the many Lovelys Centres created by those Lovelys who remain outside of the Lovely Government's territories as a result of the Great Diaspora. When there he made a speech in which he thanked the President of Ocia for his continued support of the relationship between Lovely which had flourished under the Kovac Presidency. The speech also touched on major foreign policy issues, which can be seen in the excerpt below;
"...We have seen of late the intermicronationalisation of small and local disputes. The Goloni Conflict is the best example of such a thing. A small issue such as that was seized upon by Giessian powers and used for diplomatic and intermicronational power plays. It is no secret that both our nations were on opposite sides of the Goloni Conflict itself but on the wider front, our nations were engaging in dialogue and moving towards a better future; it was after all Lovely Peacekeeping Forces that enforced the Adraisian withdrawl from the Dalmantian Territories.
This intermicronationalisation has therefore made diplomacy and close friendships even more important. Micronational organisations come and go, as I assume Ocia is all too aware of with the fall of the UEG, but Micronational Alliances and relations have much greater permanency. We only need to look at the long standing relations between older nations as evidence of this.
So while some lock themselves away and plot for their dominance, Lovely and Ocia must decide on whether to stand united and move forward to what the great Sir Winston Churchill called the "broad, sunlit uplands" or to stand apart and still, not advancing and remaining vulnerable to the whims of micronational despots..."
