Hi, I'm not entirely sure that this is supposed to be my first post, but I was a Luthorian, so as I understand it, I am already an Ocian citizen. I'm interested in joining the Ocian Defense Forces and do have some micronational experience, I'm not sure whether you'll find it relevant or not, so I'll post it. I am a former Luthorian army officer, having recently served as both the General Commander of the Army and the Minister of Defense. During my time in the Luthorian armed forces, I designed and organized the Royal Army and, though we didn't actually ever engage in offensive action, I worked heavily on a joint Army-Navy colonial expedition. In the ODF, I'd like to gain a commission as an officer in whatever branch most needs personnel.

Hello and thank you for dropping by. I am pleased with your enthusiasm and I am glad that you are able and willing to transfer to the Ocian Defence Forces. The Supreme Commander of the ODF will be granting you the Rank of Lieutenant General of the Jagaer Brigade one of Ocia's most elite brigades at my recommendation. Besides this, your résumé is impressive and I would be horned if you would consider taking the position of Minister of National Defence of the Ocian Federation, you seem more than qualified. But I will warn you, in this position you have your work cut out for you. if you don’t want so much responsibility you could be Deputy Minister or Marshal of the Federation all equally important roles. By the way the Merger will be officially put in place sometime tomorrow or Monday and we will have a big announcement then. If you accept the position you will have an important role in leading Operation Nightshade.

I'd certainly be honored to accept both the commission in the Jaeger Brigade and Ministerial position. However, are you directly commissioning me or am I going to go through the National Military Academy?

Considering you already have the experience I don’t think it is necessary. What does President Dervin think?

I agree, with Matt, on this issue, you have quite a bit of experience, which I hope that the ODF will benefit from. Thus, I do not see it as important or needed that you go through the National Military Academy, as we can teach you nothing that you already don't know and I have a feeling that it would be you teaching us a thing or two! As regards your commissioned rank, I have no obejctions to this and am pleased that you have decided to take on the role as an officer in the ODF! You will be granted the ranks stated above, when the Office of the President, recieves a Formal Nomination from the Minister of Defence or the Prime Minister, which I think will be made shortly. Do you have any plans once you get into the ODF & what you are going to do?

Well two things I would first like to do are to create an order of battle for each brigade, so we are completely aware of the amount of soliders and equipment we have. Second, I would like to begin working on an army aviation component, because helicopters can be extremely useful in land warfare, though most micronational armies seem to forget that. Additionally, I would also like to convert one of our regulary infantry brigades into an air assault brigade, and maybe another into a parachute brigade.

I'd also like to turn the signals regiment into a combat unit and, instead, attach smaller signals units into the rest of the brigades.

Alrighty!
I saw the cabinet appointments in the Federal Assembly, this makes me Minister of National Defence now, right?
