As you may have noticed, I have posted on MNN in The Exchange with regards to currency. Does Ocia currently have a currency that is useable? I understand we are part of the NEU, does that impact on our monetary policy?

Very Good question, the NEU collapse because Nordicy all of a sudden became inactive. I am currently working on a new organization the GEC (The Grandica Economic Community) which will have a common currency, free trade and open borders to foreign investment.
Currently Ocia's currency is the Tolar and its at a fixed rate with the united Baronies Dollar, because I am planning a huge and secret project with them that the micronational world will envy! I will tell you by PM if you want to know.

Would you ever consider complete adoption of the UBD? There are many quite weak currencies on Giess at the moment, and adoption would be somewhat easier than creating a new currency. Either that or Ocia could forward a proposal to keep this 1:1 rate forever - with each currency being acceptable in either land... I am very interested in general currency reform leading to the furthering of micro-economies and I think that this would be a step in the right direction.

I think that would affect our sovereignty, I think we should wait until the GEC gets started up

Yes, fair enough - who do you have lined up for the GEC? How are they responding to the notion of giving up their currency? Although some nations still feel that even a common currency is going too far - the UK is a prime example...

I think the nations are open to dropping their currency for a more powerfull one.

Have you spoken to Alexandria about this? They are one of the most important states to convince imo.
