Dear Citizens,
Back in the troubled days of our nation a number of closure orders were issued by this Ministry and its affiliates. Some of these orders, in my belief, were issued without any substantive grounds and were furthermore issues unlawfully and without due process.
Therefore, as of today, I am opening a Commission of Inquiry into the Closing of several viable Ocian Businesses in the Ocian Federation and it will review if any substantial evidence or proof is there to prove that the crimes they are alleged to have committed, as referred to in the closure orders, are in fact factual or real crimes or are just the working of the government at the time.
This Commission will have the powers, conferred unto this Ministry to repeal or uphold such closure orders issued by this Ministry and/or its affiliates after considering all facts before it. The commission will also be asked to review if a compensation payment is in order to those, that it finds were wrongly and unlawfully closed by the Ministry and/or its affiliates, with the maximum payment being no more than T1,000,000.
The Chairperson of the commission will be Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, Mr. Justice Michael Dervin and he will be free to appoint a officer board as he sees fit.
The Ministry looks forward to the conclusion of this commission, the clearing of good names that have been unduly tarnished and the closing of this dark chapter in our nation's history.
Michael Dervin OCS MA Prime Minister
