My Fellow Assembly Members,
The Federal Assembly's Christmas and New Year Holidays, shall begin today at 18:00 Ocian Time and shall last until the 7th of January 2010, with the Assembly re-sitting, during this period, on one day only and that is Tuesday the 29th of December 2009, for the budget, however, this day is provisional and is subject to change, in which you will be given notice on this Forum.
All Assembly Business, shall seize within this time frame, however this period of Holidays will not extend to the Government, who will only be granted Holidays, on Public Holidays and the weekends within this period.
The Government, does hereby note that Christmas Day falls on a Friday and in order to ensure, families and all who celebrate the Holidays get the most out of it and enjoy the Christmas weekend, the Government, does hereby motion that Friday the 25th of December and Monday the 28th of December be declared and made Public Holidays, so as to facilitate the Christmas Celebration and ensure that all who travel on this Festive Occasion have adequate time with their loved ones. Furthermore, the Government motions for similar reasons that the 1st and the 4th of January 2010 be also made Public Holidays.
The Holiday Motion and the Public Holiday Motion will be now open to the vote and will be deemed passed, if there is a majority vote in favour of these motions by 18:00 Ocian Time.
The Year 2009, has been a year of many highs and lows for this Assembly and the Nation of Ocia, I would keep you all here for a long and winding speech about this year, however, you know what this year has been like, probably in more detail than I do,
and I would only be unduly keeping you from your well earned Holidays. So my fellow Assembly Members, I wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas and a Prosperous and Happy New Year, ;D
