This is part of a series on Amokolian cities.
ANUN: The oldest city, and the Provincial capital of all of Amokolia. Located between two peninsulas on a natural harbor, Anun is the shipping and governmental heart of Automatica. Anun was founded in 450 AD. by Stormarkian explorers that somehow stumbled upon the island. The settlement is long gone except for a large garden at the entrance of the city, the Anunian Gardens. The city was major fishing city and thus many of the buildings were located right on the edge of the sea. The oldest building in the city was constructed in 1327 and is the Lutheran Church of St. Peter. The building is a stave church and is one of the largest in Automatica. Anun is also home to several government buildings including the Sænate, the Capital, and the Royal Palace which is now empty and stands in homage to the former nation. Anun is split into two regions, Anunia and Christchurch. Anunia is home to all of the governmental buildings and museums. Christchurch is home to St. Peters church and many other historical markers. Anun is Amokolia's most populous city.
FORT FARDIA:
Ft. Fardia, the birthplace of Amokolia. Ft. Fardia was built in 645 to defend Automatica from invading Shirithians who had conquered the western tip of Automatica. All forces were sent to Ft. Fardia by sea and land. The battle was swift and the Automaticans had defeated the Shirerithians by burning their Fort. Fort Fardia was so well built that it did not sustain any damage. Ft. Fardia soon became the Capital of the newly formed Automatican Nation. The nation was a democracy until 1756 when the invading Svenslanders enslaved her people. Ft. Fardia was bombed in 1965 by the Capadians to put down a revolt. Although the ancient fortress still stood, nothing else did. Ft. Fardia was rebuilt as it was in the mid-1700's a decision that baffled many outsiders. Its grand palaces and halls may look old, but they aren't even 50 years old.
LUTHERSVILLE:
This small town located on the boarder of Fardia and Capadia is a quaint village preserved in time. The town was built in the late 1500's by missionaries from Stormark. The Seminary is perhaps the oldest in the Country. The village has not much since 1670 when an ordinance was enacted preserving the town for future generations. The town is built in the Italianate style with many large limestone buildings. The town is the most tourised on the island and has many quaint shops located in its Marktplaz (The Mall).
PARISIA:
Parisia, this town on the edge of the Moring peninsula is a vibrant city full of culture. Parisia was built by a group of Lengish Immigrants wanting better weather. The City was first built in 1910 and is a very modern city. The idea for the tram system came from Parisia. The city uses no coal or nuclear energy, but uses wind power from many windmills scattered along the edge of the city. Parisia is known for its high-rise buildings which house almost 95% of the population. Parisia has the largest airport in Amokolia and has a plane landing or taking off approximatley every 4 seconds.
NEW LONDON:
New London was founded as a rest stop for sailors crossing the Trans-Maria straits between the Automaticas and Benacia. New London was founded in 1204. The city has been flooded frequently and has recently built up d**es around the edges of the city and has reclaimed land from the sea. New London is said to be overcrowded due to it being on a small island which is half closed off. It only has two suburbs, Freeport (South) and Bay City (North).
