This is part of a four part series on Amokolian cities.
MISHALAN:
The City of Mishalan, Mishalan is an ancient city, founded sometime in the late first millenium. The only ruins left of the first city is a wood temple that was submerged in the River Vattna for many years and was only found last year. The first major city build inside the walls of Mishalan was a large estate for the Ruler of the City. Only the carillon and two of the minarets still stand today in homage of the former city-state. Mishalan started out as a small city and was soon to conquer much of the surrounding countryside on her side of the Vattna. The largest Mishalanse Empire streched from the Capitol city all the way to present day s'Koinningenswaarde in Batavie. The Empire only lasted a few hundred years until it simply fell apart under bad leadership. The city was totally rebuilt in the 1870's during the Benacian revival which brought the textile industry to the town. Much of the town looks as it was then, like a stoic era-less portrait of the beautiful city on the Vattna.
RIKSTADT:
This interior mining town was founded in the Coal-Rush of the late 1700's by many former fisherman from the Straits of Maria. Since then the town has been torched twice, once by invading Shirerithians for fun and once because of a crazy mayor who didn't like the color purple. The last torching occured in the 1950's. Since then Rikstadt has become a large, modern, urban sprawl, thanks mostly to a town ordinance allowing nothing taller than the tallest pine tree. The City is a mecca for anyone wanting to get in touch with nature, the mountains can be seen from every point in the city and the River Vattna is only a short 30 minute tram ride away. There are also many lakes around Rikstadt for fishing and recreational boating. Rikstadt is perhaps the most modern city in Mishalan
POINT BLANC:
Point Blanc is perhaps the dullest, yet most militarized city in Mishalan. Home to the Amokolian Arsenal, Point Blanc's population is completely military and para-military officials. There is also a training facility that is internationally renowned for its tactics and facilities. Point Blanc is not one for tourism, as it is closed of most of the year for training and development of the army.
EAST MISHALAN MUSE:
East Mishalan Muse, or simply The Muse, is the quirkiest of any Amokolian, or for that matter, Ocian city. The Muse is spread out across 56 square kilometers of land. The streets are all crooked and the type of architecture used there is not one for the perfect architect. In fact, no architects are allowed into the city, everyone designs their own house, and even the street in front of your house. The Muse uses its own language of Jokes and Pig Latin to communicate. The Muse was founded in 1563 for a place for all of the oddballs, sorcerers, and lunatics of the age. The descendents of these people still live there today, not much has changed.
JEANEZVILLE:
Jeanezville is a medival city that is home to the most majestic palaces anywhere on Micras. Jeanezville was founded by a group of Alexandrian immigrants who were bannished from their homeland. Jeanezville irks of majestic gold on white castles with giant fountains, some even bigger than the estate they are built on. Jeanezville was the birthplace of Chivalry in Amokolia. It was host to many Royal Tournaments and has a certain charm, found nowhere else on Micras, to call its own. Jeanezville is a city stuck in time, no new buildings may be constructed without the consent of the Council of Jeanezville.
VEÑA:
Veña is the diplomatic capital of Micras. Many treaties have been discussed and signed there due to its remoteness in the Mishalanse forest. Veña is nestled in a valley between two of the highest mountains on Benacia (Mt. Medrvh [12,000 M.] and Mt. Segolene [5,000 M.]) Veña is a very multi-cultural city that has exploded from once a small primarily-Batavian mining town into a huge multi-cultural metropolis. Many of the former Kavalosian and Vanderveerian ex patriots flocked to Veña after their respective collapses. The city is divided into many neighboorhoods and districts that make you feel like you are in a completely different country. Nothing is unique to the city more than the citizens' kindness and compassion for visitors and foreigners.
BENACIASTADT (Seçteur Amokolienne):
Benaciastadt is a city located on the boarder of Ashkenatza and Amokolia. The only entry/exit is located and the Southernmost tip of the city and is usually backed up due to Amokolia not having cars, therefore it is all pedestrian crossings. Benaciastadt was created especially for the place of the signing of the Romero treaty between Tellia, Amokolia, and Ashkenatza, who were at the time all friendly growing nations on Benacia. The situation quickly escaladed when Ashkenatzi forces invaded and burnt part of the city. The Amokolians retaliated and burn many pigs, tempting the Ashkenatzim to cross, because pork is forbidden. Many tourists visit the Seçteur Amokolienne due to its close proximity to the boarder and want something different on a day trip.
