An Evening Adress From Prešernova Palace in Western Directus
Fellow Ocians
Members of Government,
We all know that the moves of our government are closely stipulated and criticized by respective nations and their governments around Micras and Aura, this places even more pressure on us to run our government and more importantly our nation with a lofty moral standing. When I took office just a few weeks ago, I promised to run the nation accountably and with competence, therefore I wish to note that the recent rulings by the Ocian National Defence Commission regarding the issuing of warrants which were issued for several former Ocain citizens are suspended until I can investigate the evidence presented by the tribunal in more detail, I take full responsibility for not doing so at an earlier date.
For a moment, I wish to put aside the volatile situation which is occurring on Micras and I wish to redirect the attention of the Ocian people towards internal issues. Energy Self Reliance for the Democratic Republic of Ocia has been one of my top priorities, and I have been personally working on establishing a coherent step by step plan to take us to this goal. Our nation cannot, and will not rely on foreign nations who can be manipulated by our enemies, for energy security and we must push forward with an energetic spirit to accomplish this goal. National Self Reliance on several fields is one of the cornerstones for a successful state. In the spirit of self reliance, I plan on introducing infrastructure improvements on several military facilities in order to achieve military armaments production quotas, as well as create new employment opportunities for all citizens of Ocia.
In addition, this government has worked vigorously to come up with the M25 Goals which are to be placed at a top priority. Apart from the M25 goals, we must also endeavor to complete Project 2000 at a fast and heightened pace.
This government and executive authority will be placing investment projects with regards to technological innovation at a top priority and will be endeavoring to reorganize state corporations, expand their business opportunities abroad, and reopen the November City Stock Exchange to once again allow the flow of market trade. However, when dealing with the economy one can not just focus on investment, but also maintaining a moral and legal framework when it comes to trade and commerce. That is why; I will be introducing an anti-corruption plan that will help eliminate certain entities which are burdening the Ocian national economy and preventing growth.
Fellow Ocians, we have a lot to work on but I know there is no other more productive worker then an Ocian Worker.
I wish to at this moment, I would like to take this opportunity to recite my oath:
I vow, in the performance of my powers as the President of the Democratic Republic of Ocia to respect and protect the rights and freedoms of man and citizen, to observe and protect the Constitution of the Democratic Republic of Ocia, to protect the sovereignty and independence, security and integrity of the state and to serve the people faithfully.
Ocia is Ours,
Dr. Matt Kovac
President of the Democratic Republic of Ocia
