This has little or no relevance during a rec war I know, but for the utmost sake of simulation lets establish what our standard issue firearm should be.
Currently it is G 36 (Active Duty) RK 65 (Reservists)
The reason for the two different issues for reservists and actve duty is because the RK is cheaper, and the more expenive G 36 is used for active duty.
I think we should replace the G 36 with the HK 416. what does everyone think?

If the Ocian military is interested, the Cerulean A3V1 Zelská assault rifle has recently exited it's test phase. The Cerulean military is currently replacing all it's old assault rifles with this new state-of-the-art weapon - and I believe that we can arrange an export deal, if the Ocian military is interested.

Not only does Ocia practice a discreet policy of Armaments Self reliance which can produce weaponry at full capacity even under constant barrage, but Ocia is also the largest and most advanced weaponry exporter- Last year alone Ocia closed 6 deals.
With that said, Although your friendly approach is admirable It would not only be against our policy to buy inferior foreign weaponry, but it would also it would be incredibly stupid to merely forget that the state of relations between our two nations is far from decent and the fact that both sides have been on the brink of war for a long time.

Now now, Matt.
Basically, the translation of that, Peter, is: "Thankyou for your offer, but we do not wish to make this deal".

Thank you Rebecca, but I did not interpret it as if Matt intended to offend me, I simply forgot to reply

In any case, relying on a foreign nation (and one with certain hostile parties in it) for armaments is not a good thing.

I would like to suggest the AK-74 as an additional standard issue firearm, perhaps for some of our select units.

The AK 74 does have its benefits but it is a very old rifle that is no longer as highly reliable as weapons modern armies use, even the Russian army is slowly phasing its replacement. Perhaps when it comes to economics though it would be cheap to use.
