If you value the Ocia's Freedoms, join the Volunteers. If you value the Ocia's Sovereignty, join the Volunteers. If you value Ocia's superpower status, join the Volunteers. If you value Ocia's Armies, join the Volunteers. If you value Ocia's people, join the Volunteers. Stop the Imperialist Aggressors who threaten our nation. Register your support by joining the Ocian Volunteers Association!

A group of likeminded individuals who are willing to do everything in their power to defend Ocia's liberties, Minister.

Militia? I really like the stride in training civilians to defend their homes pending an attack. If you are to require and assistance Montague, feel free to ask the Defense Ministry for Training, equipment etc.

Paramilitary groups definitely aren’t aloud In Ocia, and we already have massive Reservist forces because of our conscription system. This group is not officially recognized as having any official affiliation with the Ocian Defence Forces, or the Ocian government, and if it is a paramilitary group it must be shut down. However if this is something like the Salvation Army then by all means it sounds like a good cause.
The Ministry certainly is most interested in having your expertise and I did reccomend that you be appointed as Deputy Minister of Defence, as well as Minister of The Interior and Finance (The Ministry responsible for Internal Security and Police Forces).

Let me clarify my previous comment, you are merely having the Ocian public do as they will, this is by no means a department within any ministries. I approve of their patriotism, and support their defense of Ocia, pending they follow the Peking order and know that they have no jurisdiction or official recognition by the Ocian Military whatsoever.

What's the Peking Order?
The OVA isn't like the Salvation Army. It is more like the Orange Order but not as divisive nor anti-Catholic. It is a group of like-minded citizens who believe that the defence of Ocia is the most important business for any citizen.

And what exactly would be wrong with having a state-sanctioned citizen militia?

Ocia is not like the Wild West, it would be chaotic to permit vigilante groups who are armed, besides owning a firearm in Ocia is a privilege not a right. I’m also bewildered by this fact. As per terms of Ocian law ALL Ocian citizens must serve in activate duty in the Ocian Defence Forces, and then after a certain period of time they are put into the reserves, so what exactly is this purpose of this radical armed group then if almost all able bodied Ocians are already in the Military?

Who says that these people are armed? Mr. Kovac, this is a scheme that is winning support from all people on the political spectrum so I do not understand your outright hostility to it.
