Dated August 19th, 2007: Below is the Slaventian Declaration of Neutrality, if passed it will make slaventia a neutral nation. All in Favor vote yes and all not vote no.
Introduction to the Neutrality Act
Neutrality means military non-participation in an armed conflict between other states. The self-imposed obligation not to participate militarily in an international conflict can be declared either on an ad hoc basis (temporary neutrality) or generally, with regard to all future international conflicts (permanent neutrality), Slaventia has chosen to participate in Permanent Neutrality. Non-neutral states are obliged in return to respect the territorial integrity of the neutral state.
This act makes Slaventia a permanently neutral state. But permanent does not mean eternal: having freely chosen to be neutral, Slaventia is equally free to choose not to be. As long as it does remain neutral, however, it must respect certain rules. One of these is the requirement to defend its neutral status militarily should it come under threat. Slaventian neutrality therefore has three qualities: it is self-determined, permanent and armed.
This Declaration and act shall take measures to safeguard Slaventia’s external security, independence and neutrality.
The responsibilities of The Government
The Government of Slaventia has the responsibilities to follow the act and go by its policy. Slaventia shall not partipate in a foreign war, it will safe guard its independence and sovereignty and will protect the rights and duties of its citizens.
